Pro and Teams users can plug in their own OpenAI, Deepgram, or ElevenLabs API keys. This gives you unlimited cloud transcription at your provider's rates, while still using Parrot for cleanup, vocabulary, sync, and history.

What happens if I hit my transcription limit?

You'll get a warning at 80% usage. Once you reach 100%, cloud transcription pauses until next month. Local transcription always works. You can also add your own API keys for unlimited cloud usage.

How accurate is local vs. cloud transcription?

Local: Whisper.cpp — very good for general use. Cloud: Deepgram Nova-2 or OpenAI Whisper API — noticeably better for accents, technical terms, and noisy environments.
